The job
The brief
The owners had just bought the house and their survey flagged rubber-insulated cables and a 1970s fuse box. They wanted everything replaced before decorating, without losing the period features they’d fallen in love with.
The work
We lifted boards in a numbered sequence, ran new circuits under the floors and fished cables behind the plaster to avoid chasing into the original cornicing. A new consumer unit went into the understairs cupboard with RCBO protection on every circuit.
The result
Seven working days from start to certificate. The family moved in a week later, and the decorators started on a clean, fully certified installation.
