The job
The brief
The couple had just swapped both their cars for electric models and wanted to charge them overnight, on a 60A supply that also runs a heat pump.
The work
After a supply check we fitted two 7kW smart chargers with a shared CT clamp. The chargers talk to each other and throttle back when the house load is high.
The result
Both cars are fully charged by 7am on the cheapest overnight tariff, and the main fuse has never come close to its limit.
