Case study

Electrician talking a homeowner through her new certificate on a tablet at the kitchen table

The job

The brief

The homeowner’s insurer asked for evidence of an up-to-date installation after a minor claim. The existing board had rewireable fuses and no RCD protection.

The work

We tested every circuit first, found and fixed a borrowed neutral in the lighting, then fitted a metal-clad consumer unit with surge protection and individual RCBOs.

The result

Power was off for just under five hours. The customer had their Electrical Installation Certificate by email that evening.
